Art Therapy DBT (adults)
Use art to learn the core concepts of Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Tuesdays 10:30-12:00 (Adults).
Group/Workshop Description
This 90 min. closed group will utilize arts-based processes while educating group members on the core concepts and skills of dialectical behavioral therapy as developed by Marsha Linehan. These concepts include four major modules (Distress Tolerance, Mindfulness, Emotion Regulation, and Interpersonal Effectiveness). Group members will meet with the facilitator (Wendy Lynch) prior to joining group and new members will only be added at the beginning of a new module. Group members are expected to be involved in their own individual therapy outside of group to ensure enough space to process the concepts learned in group and the practical application in daily life. $45 per session, 20% discount for monthly membership, or some health insurances accepted.
